The Multi-Version Switch (MVS), an integration tool that simultaneously supports multiple versions of PC*MILER Connect installed on on-premise servers, will no longer be supported effective April 3, 2025.

Customers who require multi-version capabilities will need to switch to PC*MILER Web Services, a collection of RESTful web APIs that allow you to generate routes for trucks and other commercial vehicles, calculate distances, and gather location information throughout the world.

What is happening?

Multi-version capabilities have been available through PC*MILER Web Services for many years. With the successful migration of most of our customers demanding multi-version capabilities onto Web Services, maintaining the MVS on-premise product offering has become redundant.

PC*MILER 38, which is expected to be released later this year, will be the last version of PC*MILER supported on MVS.

What do you need to do?

We are asking customers to work with their respective Transportation Management System (TMS) providers to validate their systems' readiness for this change. Many TMS providers already have Web-Service-ready versions of their products available.

Your TMS provider is best positioned to assist you with understanding what steps, if any, need to be taken to update or configure their systems to accommodate the change. However, please contact us with any questions.
