PC*MILER Rail-Connect 28, which was released in January 2022, will be the last version of the software that includes mapping API libraries. The mapping libraries allow for the display of rail maps within applications integrated with PC*MILER Rail-Connect.

Any existing integrations with Rail-Connect will work normally, and maps will continue to be available in future versions via the PC*MILER Rail user interface.  

What does "discontinued" mean?

Trimble MAPS will no longer include mapping APIs with PC*MILER Rail Connect integrations. We will provide technical support for mapping APIs until December 31, 2022, for subscribers who are up to date on their support contracts. As of Jan. 1, 2023, no further support, software updates or data updates will be provided.

What other options are available for rail maps?

Rail maps are available via our JavaScript Maps SDK, which is licensed separately from PC*MILER Rail-Connect.
